OneSky Localization Agent (OLA) is a Workspace-based translation management system. Each Workspace is tied to a unique subscription.
A Workspace is a collection of languages, string keys, translations values, screenshots attached to these string keys, users who have access to this Workspace, as well as settings.
Each Workspace can be used to contain translations for a single mobile application, website, a game or marketing materials. We recommend keeping string keys and translations for all platforms (for example, web and mobile) in a single Workspace for your own convenience.
When creating a Workspace, it is important to consider the type of content you will translate in it. There are 30+ file formats supported which are based on the type of content you want to translate.
When To Create A Workspace
There is no limit to the number of Workspaces you can create in your OneSky account. However, if you want to create a new Workspace, you'll need a new subscription for it. There are a few considerations when you decide the number of Workspaces needed.
- Product
The client-facing content of a product likely shares similar tone and terminology across platforms like app UI and landing pages. Managing all contents by product level in a single Workspace allows you to easily configure context guidelines to enhance translation consistency. - Glossary
A Glossary is a list of terms and expressions that represent your brand, and influence your translations. Companies create glossary terms in order to provide a shared understanding of terms to be used within a Workspace. With OneSky, you’ll be able to utilize the Glossary to synchronize translations. - Translation Memory
A translation memory is a database of your translations. OneSky allows you to re-use previous translations to save your translation cost. If your preference is to keep the translation memory for each content type and tone separate, we recommend creating a separate Workspace for them. - Advanced Features
Each Workspace is tied to a unique subscription. If you require more usages and advanced features like integrations for a particular project, a separate Workspace should be created. - Teammate
Creating separate Workspace for different teams of people allows them to work more independently, with separate workflows and localization processes.
